Choose Bulkit if
- Your users connect many accounts that each post a moderate amount.
- You want the bill tied to what you publish, not to how many accounts sit connected.
- You need Reddit or Vimeo publishing alongside the mainstream networks.
Unlimited accounts for $4.99/mo vs $3–$6 per account
Zernio, the social media API formerly called Late (getlate.dev), is a broad, well-built developer platform that charges per connected account with unlimited posting. Bulkit flips the axis: $4.99 a month with unlimited connected accounts, and a cent per post or comment past the 500 included.
It comes down to which number grows faster in your product: connected accounts or posts. Zernio, which was Late until its rebrand, bills per connected account each month: the first two are free, accounts 3 to 10 cost $6 each, 11 to 100 cost $3 each, and $1 each past that, with posting unlimited. Bulkit bills the other way: $4.99/month flat, 500 posts and comments included, $0.01 per action after, and every connected account free. If your users connect lots of accounts that each post a few times a week, as most SaaS and agency products do, Bulkit is usually cheaper. If you run a handful of accounts that post heavily, Zernio is cheaper, and with two accounts it's free. Zernio also covers more surface, from DMs and ads to WhatsApp, Telegram and Snapchat, so weigh that too.
The honest grid, including the rows where Zernio has more than Bulkit does today.

Both are usage-based; they meter different things. Zernio meters connected accounts and leaves posting unlimited. Bulkit meters posts and comments and leaves connected accounts unlimited.

Bulkit is ~8.4× cheaper at this volume
A SaaS with 50 connected accounts publishing 2,000 posts a month
On Bulkit that's the flat $4.99 plus 1,500 metered actions at $0.01. On Zernio it's 2 free accounts, 8 at $6 and 40 at $3, so $168 a month, with posting unlimited. The math reverses for heavy posters on few accounts: 2 accounts sending 20,000 posts a month cost $0 on Zernio and $199.99 on Bulkit. Run your own account count and volume through both before deciding.
Connected accounts never move the bill
On Bulkit, an account your user connected and posts from twice a month costs nothing; you pay a cent when it posts. That's the opposite trade from Zernio's, and it's the right one when your product has a long tail of lightly used accounts. If your accounts are few and busy, Zernio's model is the better deal and we'd say so.

If you integrated Late at getlate.dev, nothing broke: Zernio says it's the same API, team and infrastructure, old keys still work, and getlate.dev redirects to zernio.com. The SDKs moved to @zernio/node and zernio-sdk. Late's API and Zernio's API are the same product, so the comparison below applies to both names. The difference with Bulkit is the billing axis, and a few coverage gaps in each direction.
Zernio is API-first too, so this isn't a contrast between an API and an app. Bulkit's API is the product: designed, versioned and documented first, with a dashboard and drag-and-drop scheduling calendar built as a thin shell over the same endpoints. The scope is deliberately narrower than Zernio's: publishing, scheduling, comments and analytics across 12 networks, reachable from every surface below, on one plan with 600 requests a minute.
Start with the Bulkit API quickstart, where an API key and one request is the whole first step.
Being upfront about when Zernio wins is what makes the rest of this page worth trusting.
Zernio runs a hosted MCP server that exposes the same capabilities as its API, so agents can publish there too: this isn't 'we act, they only read docs'. The difference is scope and price. Zernio's MCP spans its whole surface, DMs and ads included, billed per connected account. Bulkit's MCP covers publishing, scheduling, reading and replying to comments, and post metrics, with every connected account free on the $4.99 plan.

Sign up and create a key. No sales call; the same plan covers any number of accounts.
Map each Zernio post call to a Bulkit post: one request lists every channel it should go to, with scheduling and per-channel content in the same body.
Add your own platform app credentials (Bulkit is BYOK today), then run each account through Bulkit's OAuth flow once. Keep Zernio for anything Bulkit doesn't cover, like DMs or ads.
Yes. Late rebranded as Zernio. Zernio's rebrand page describes it as the same API, team and infrastructure with no breaking changes; getlate.dev redirects to zernio.com, existing keys still work, and the SDKs are now @zernio/node and zernio-sdk.
Zernio has no plans or seats. Per its pricing page, the first 2 connected accounts are free, accounts 3–10 are $6/month each, 11–100 are $3 each and 101+ are $1 each, with posting unlimited. Some extras are metered, like DMs past 10,000 a month, managed ads and X API calls, which are passed through at X's rates.
When you have many accounts and moderate volume, yes: 50 accounts posting 2,000 times a month is about $20 on Bulkit and $168 on Zernio. When you have few accounts and heavy volume, no: 2 accounts posting 20,000 times a month is free on Zernio and about $200 on Bulkit. The crossover depends entirely on your accounts-to-posts ratio.
Yes, a hosted one at mcp.zernio.com that exposes the same capabilities as its API. Bulkit also ships an executable MCP server, covering publishing, scheduling, comments and post metrics, on the $4.99 plan.
Bulkit covers 12: X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Vimeo, Reddit and Google Business. Zernio lists more, including Snapchat, WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord, but says it can't post to Reddit at the moment, and doesn't list Vimeo.
Yes, for now. Bulkit is bring-your-own-keys (BYOK) today: you add your own developer app credentials for each platform, then connect accounts through Bulkit's OAuth flow. Bulkit-managed platform apps are on the roadmap.
