Terms and Conditions

Last updated

These terms govern your use of Bulkit — the API, the dashboard, the MCP server, the SDKs, and the websites at bulkit.io and docs.bulkit.io. They are a contract between you and us, so they are written to be read rather than skimmed past.

By creating an account, calling the API, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it, and “you” means that company.

1. The agreement

Bulkit (“Bulkit”, “we”, “us”) provides a unified API for publishing, scheduling, and analyzing content across social networks. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order form or plan you sign up for, form the entire agreement between us and replace anything discussed beforehand.

If you have signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls wherever it conflicts with these terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a contract. Bulkit is a developer tool built for businesses, not a consumer product for minors.
  • Account information must be accurate and kept current — particularly your billing email, which is where service and payment notices go.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions taken by your team members, your own end users, and any AI agent you connect.
  • Keep your credentials secret. Tell us promptly at legal@bulkit.io if you believe an API key or account has been compromised, and rotate the key from the dashboard.
  • One human, one login. Do not share individual accounts across people — invite team members instead, so the audit log stays meaningful.

3. The service

Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use Bulkit — including our API, dashboard, MCP server, SDKs, and documentation — to build and operate your own products and workflows.

We improve the service continuously, which means it changes. We may add, modify, or remove features. For breaking changes to the public API we will give reasonable advance notice to account holders by email or in the dashboard, and we will keep the previous behavior available for a transition period wherever a platform dependency allows it.

Features labelled beta, preview, or experimental are provided as-is, may change or disappear without notice, and are excluded from any commitment in these terms.

4. Acceptable use

Bulkit gives you programmatic reach into real social accounts and real audiences. Use it accordingly. You must not use the service to:

  • Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Send spam, run coordinated inauthentic behavior, operate bot farms or engagement rings, or artificially inflate metrics on any platform.
  • Publish to accounts you do not own or have not been authorized to manage.
  • Circumvent a social platform's rate limits, access controls, or terms — including by rotating accounts or credentials to evade enforcement.
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute platform data beyond what that platform's developer terms permit.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the service, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law.
  • Probe, scan, or stress-test our infrastructure without written permission, or interfere with anyone else's use of the service.
  • Resell or white-label raw Bulkit API access as a substitute for the service itself. Building a product on top of Bulkit is exactly what it's for; reselling the pipe is not.
  • Use the service to build a competing unified social publishing API.

You are responsible for the conduct of your end users. If your product lets other people publish through your Bulkit account, you must impose terms on them at least as protective as these and enforce them.

5. Connected social accounts

When you connect an account from X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, or Bluesky, you authorize us to act on that account within the scopes you grant, and you confirm you have the right to do so.

  • Each platform's own terms, developer policies, and rate limits continue to apply to you and take precedence where they are stricter than these terms.
  • Platforms change their APIs, pricing, and permissions on their own schedule. A platform may deprecate an endpoint, revoke a scope, or suspend an account, and features that depend on it can degrade or stop working with little or no notice. That is outside our control and is not a breach of these terms by us.
  • You are responsible for maintaining any developer app, tier, or approval a platform requires of you.
  • We may suspend a connection if a platform requires it, if a token is revoked, or if we detect activity that puts your accounts or ours at risk.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you send through Bulkit — post text, media, captions, comments, and the data returned from your connected accounts. We claim no rights in it.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, reformat, and display that content strictly to operate the service for you: delivering it to the platforms you target, retrying failed publishes, and showing it back to you in the dashboard. The licence exists to make publishing work and ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies retained in backups for a short rolling window.

We do not use your content or your connected accounts' data to train machine learning models. See the Privacy Policy for how content data is handled and retained.

You warrant that you hold the rights to the content you publish through Bulkit, including rights to any music, footage, images, or trademarks it contains, and that publishing it does not breach any law or third-party agreement.

7. API keys and automation

  • API keys authenticate calls as you. Anything done with a valid key is treated as done by you, whether it came from your backend, your CLI, or an AI agent.
  • Scope keys to the least privilege that works, rotate them periodically, and store them as secrets rather than in source control. Keys are shown in full only once, at creation.
  • If you connect an AI agent through our MCP server, you remain responsible for what it publishes. Agents act with real permissions on real accounts — review the tool scopes you grant and check your audit log.
  • Every action, including agent-initiated ones, is recorded in your audit log. Do not attempt to alter or suppress those records.

8. Rate limits and fair use

We apply rate limits to protect the platform, your connected accounts, and other customers from runaway automation. Limits are documented in our API reference and may be adjusted as capacity and platform constraints change.

If your usage is materially degrading the service for others, we will contact you to find a workable arrangement before taking any action beyond throttling.

9. Plans, billing, and refunds

Bulkit is pay-as-you-go: a flat base fee of $3.99 per month that includes 500 actions — posts and comments — with each additional action billed at $0.01. The included allowance refreshes monthly and does not roll over.

  • The base fee is charged up front for each billing period. Usage beyond the included allowance is metered and charged in arrears at the end of the period.
  • Actions are counted by our systems, and those counts are the reference for billing. Your usage is visible in the dashboard as it accrues.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all amounts due, including overage.
  • Prices are exclusive of VAT, sales tax, and other taxes, which are added where applicable and are your responsibility.
  • If a payment fails, we may retry it and will notify you. Persistent non-payment can lead to suspension of API access, and eventually to termination under §12.
  • You can cancel at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end and any accrued overage is still charged.
  • Fees already paid are non-refundable and we do not pro-rate part-months, except where a refund is required by law or where we have clearly billed you in error — in which case, tell us and we will fix it.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard. The new price applies from your next billing period, and you can cancel before it takes effect if you don't want it.

10. Availability and support

We work hard to keep Bulkit up, but the service is provided without a contractual uptime commitment unless you have a separate written service level agreement with us. Maintenance, upstream platform outages, and incidents will occasionally interrupt availability.

Support on the standard plan is provided through our community channels and by email on a best-effort basis. We aim to respond to security reports fastest — send those to legal@bulkit.io and mark them urgent.

11. Our intellectual property

Bulkit, its software, APIs, documentation, design, and brand are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a right to use the service, not any ownership in it. You may use our name and logo to state factually that your product is built on Bulkit; anything beyond that needs our written permission.

If you send us feedback, feature requests, or suggestions, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, royalty-free right to use them without obligation or attribution. We would rather hear the idea than negotiate over it.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Bulkit and delete your account at any time from the dashboard.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms — in particular §4 (acceptable use) — if your account is used unlawfully, if non-payment persists after notice, or if a social platform or law requires it. Except where the risk is immediate or legally unavoidable, we will give you notice and a reasonable chance to fix the problem first.

On termination, your right to use the service ends, scheduled posts stop, and connected tokens are revoked. You can export your data from the dashboard before you close the account; after closure, data is deleted on the schedule set out in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — content ownership, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law — survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat; that any particular post will be delivered, accepted, or remain published on a third-party platform; or that analytics returned by a platform are accurate or complete. Bulkit is a conduit to systems we do not control.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, to your indemnity under §15, or to either party's liability for the matters described in the final paragraph of §13.

15. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, and against damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from them, to the extent they result from your content, your use of the service in breach of these terms or of a social platform's terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. We will notify you of any such claim promptly, give you control of the defence, and cooperate reasonably at your expense.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts of [VENUE] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and courts of your country of residence still apply to you regardless of the paragraph above.

Before filing anything, email legal@bulkit.io. Most disputes are a misunderstanding about billing or an API behavior, and are quicker to fix directly.

17. Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Bulkit after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, cancel before then.

18. General

  • Assignment — you may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Severability — if a provision is held unenforceable, it is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver — not enforcing a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later.
  • Independent parties — nothing here creates a partnership, agency, employment, or joint venture between us.
  • Force majeure — neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including upstream platform outages, network failures, and acts of government.
  • Notices — we send notices to your account email; send yours to legal@bulkit.io.
  • No third-party beneficiaries — these terms are between you and us, and give no rights to anyone else.
